As we roll into 2016 in a couple days, I thought I would take a little time and browse my hard drive for images I took in 2015. Not feeling particularly inspired recently, it was a good exercise for me. Seems 2015 was a pretty darn good year after all. Looking back at what I captured has made me very excited to start 2016.
What you will see is not necessarily my best shots or my favorite shots (though some are), but rather a chronological review of how my year took place photographically.
All the best to you out there in 2016. Here’s wishing you a year full of happy days!
In January, the year started out cold, but made for some beautiful sunrises:
In February, we got snow and I loved shooting at this lake:
and I try not to miss ANY opportunity to shoot some images at the Biltmore Estate:
With approaching warmer weather in April came the fog:
Early May finally brought warm weather and rhododendron blooms:
…and late May had me meeting and shooting in the mountains with my good friend Jennifer Carr:
In June it was a trip to the beach to try out some seascapes:
In July I submitted and made CMPro () and in August I went shooting with a local photography group and watched an incredible sunset:
In October I discovered a passion for photographing waterfalls and they are definitely on my agenda for next year:
In late October I traveled the Blue Ridge Parkway and enjoyed the fall colors, and tried an abstract:
I’ve only picked up my camera a few times since the leaves fell. Thanksgiving and Christmas was filled with treasured family photos.
Have a very happy and safe New Year! See you in 2016~
