Today makes Day 4 of the #challengeonnaturephotography landscape/nature challenge. I was nominated to participate by my talented photographer friends LaVonne and Jacki. 🙂
I’ve shared an image similar to this before, but when I went back through the images from this shoot I liked this one too. Last August I joined a photography group for a sunset outing to Max Patch mountain. Max Patch is one of those places you just have to see to believe. It’s incredibly beautiful and I was excited to be there for a sunset. As landscape photographers know, you aren’t quite sure what mother nature will give you after you’ve traveled all that way and you set up waiting for the magic to happen.
I certainly wasn’t disappointed that night. The 1 1/2 hour drive from my house was completely worth it. This image shows a young lady who was apparently there for the night. This was shot just about 30 minutes before sunset.
I always wondered after I left that if the sunset was that good, I wonder what that girl saw for sunrise?
