Sooooooo, as I prepared for this month’s Serenity circle, I searched to find a brilliant quote that immortalizes all things calm and strived to take an image with perfect light rays shining upon some beautiful element in nature. Just something that invoked ‘serenity now’.
But as my mind wandered and searched for serenity perfection, I realized I had serenity staring at me in my own kitchen.
Surely though, I thought, I can’t put a picture of yeast rolls on my blog. I’m all about landscapes and nature and such. I can’t do that.
Or can I?
The fact is, I’m on a quest to conquer baking the perfect yeast roll. Trying a new recipe in my kitchen the other day I thought how much I enjoy baking, especially bread. You could call it one of my serenity clusters, a collection of activities that makes me happy and content. The undeniable goodness of yeast and baking bread aromas ~ if serenity was a smell, this would be it.
So here you have it. A picture of yeast rolls. I’m still working on perfecting them, but oh how I’m going to love trying.

The Serenity Project is collective blog consisting of members who strive for all things serene. This month is no exception in finding serenity all around us in this world. My talented friend Sue Bahen is next in line. Follow the circle around to see what she has to share this month.
