Snowy Landscapes to Start the New Year

Wow!  Did the last couple months of the year fly by or what?  Here we are almost a month into the new year when I swear yesterday was Thanksgiving.  To top it all off, we’ve got a lot of snow already for this year!  I don’t mind…snowy landscapes are some of my favorites.

Like most of you time sure does get away from me somehow.  The holidays always seem to go by quickly though.

The new year sure has been cold!  The freezing rain we had on New Year’s Eve was dicey and the long cold snap we’ve had is getting old.  I’m so ready for warmer weather!

Earlier in December we had a beautiful snow.  It caught everyone by surprise at how much accumulation we actually had, but I, for one, was thrilled with the winter wonderland.

I headed out in my trusty Subaru searching for pretty winter scenes.  I didn’t have to venture far too far from home base to discover some really nice scenery.

The farms around the area are always good for finding livestock amongst pretty scenery, like these cows standing in the snow beside a gorgeous red barn.

Sparse landscapes and snow covered trees provided some eye candy too.

Beaver Lake was barely visible with the swirling snow.

I sure enjoy how the snow makes everything so beautiful and clean.  I mean if it’s going to be cold it might as well snow.  🙂
