Sunflowers

Since purchasing a new bike a few weeks ago I’ve been going to ride at the Biltmore Estate one or two mornings a week.  It takes a bit of work to get ready and get over there, but once I’m there it’s like I’m transported to another world where time doesn’t matter.  I’m usually there 2-3 hours just meandering around breathing the fresh mountain air while I ride.

During this time of year, the sunflowers are blooming.  The estate plants them every year and they are lined along the bike path to the lagoon.

They are a beautiful sea of yellow sometimes stretching as far as the eye can see.
